Israel's Consul General to the Pacific Northwest, the Honorable Dr. Andy David, is making a special visit to our WRJC to discuss the Iran Deal and the general situation in Israel on Tuesday, August 25 at 4:45 P.M. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, downstairs in the Perish Hall.

United States Senators Mike Crapo and Jim Risch will meet with AIPAC in Sun Valley on Wednesday, August 19, at the home of Jay and Linda Cooper.
The meeting agenda will highlight an important briefing by our United States Senators on the complex Middle East, the future of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the Iran nuclear agreement presently being hotly debated in the U.S. Congress.
Please arrive promptly at 9:00am for a pre-briefing by Bruce Barrett, Mountain States Regional Director of AIPAC.

Winston Churchill and the Jews: Zionism, Holocaust and the Lessons of the 20th Century by Lee Pollock
Lee Pollock, Executive Director of The Churchill Centre, will discuss how Churchill's relationship with the Jewish people helped to define his life and career and how his decisions impacted their fate.
This week's hike is the WEST FORK OF THE BIG WOOD RIVER! We will meet at the SNRA parking area at 8:30 am, to carpool and/or caravan the last 5 miles of gravel road to the trailhead.
Hikers, remember to bring water, snacks or lunch, sunscreen, and a hat. Wear sturdy shoes (trail will be rocky in places) and dress for the weather (bring an extra layer in case of mountain weather changes). Hiking poles are helpful, cameras are usually desired.

Great day for riding for eight to Bellevue last week. This week we will crank north to the SNRA...and for additional work, as desired, to milepost 141 at the top of Phantom Hill. Meet at the Ketchum Post office this Wednesday, July 22, for a 9:30 start.

Are you ready for another great biking season? We'll have a mild warmup (no pun intended) ride this week heading south through the Valley Club and back to town with a side trip up Greenhorn Gulch. Part of the ride will be on 75 on a very wide biking berm as the path from Gimlet to East Fork is being paved. For those down valley you can catch the peloton at Gimlet and 75. Start at the Ketchum post office at 9:30 this Wednesday, July 1.
